The Cleaning Crew Story

In early 2007, shortly after their daughter Violet was born, Courtney Bizeau and Stephen Walsh, founders of The Cleaning Crew, found themselves disturbed one day after cleaning their home with conventional cleaners. 6 month old Violet was crawling on a freshly chemically washed floor!

After doing research they were shocked at how blind they had been all these years to hazardous wastes in the home. Hazardous chemicals endanger the environment by contaminating our groundwater, lakes and oceans. If these hazardous products in the home are ingested, absorbed through the skin or inhaled they can cause illness that may only appear years later.

Courtney is famous among family and friends for being a clean freak, when it dawned on her that she was NOT making her home cleaner, she was creating a miniature chemical factory. “Cleaning toilets, bathtubs, sinks, floors and doing laundry with conventional products just seemed normal to me, it had never quite registered how seriously damaging these products are to the environment and most importantly my family.”

Courtney & Steve decided to purge their home of these products and replace them with non-toxic, environmentally responsible cleaners such as Nature Clean and Get Clean, the latter being a product line produced by a company named Shaklee, also seen on Oprah. They then took their concern to the next level and launched The Cleaning Crew which is one of very few Ottawa based  cleaning companies that exclusively use environmentally, family and pet safe products. It has now become their mission to show people that “green” products are not only safe but extremely effective.

An Ottawa flower shop has recently revamped their website through Creative Designs. The new website incorporates several user-friendly and intuitive features and functions allowing customers to order online, gift wrap, and send their message for the enclosure card all online. With a sleek new user interface, Weekly Flowers Ottawa has recently improved their users experience and their sales.
