Submitting a Request for Proposal (RFP)
A Request for Proposal is a simple document that you can prepare with answers to a series of questions relating to your project that will help you begin to accumulate the information that Creative Designs will need to provide you with an accurate quote and recommendations for your project. This process allows us to provide you with accurate measures of the cost of your project, approximately how long it will take to complete and how much work is involved to accomplish all of your objectives.
Sending us your Request for Proposal is not a commitment on your part; rather, your RFP will simply provide us with the necessary information to help us both begin organizing your project, understanding your needs, and provide clarity to several of your objectives to avoid miscommunication once we begin working on your project.
Need some help writing your RFP?
Follow this guideline below to start writing your professional RFP that can be submitted to our creative team for review. We will review your RFP and provide you with a response within 24 hours to get the ball rolling with your project.
We look forward to working with you!
- Project Title
Give your project a name so that we can easily reference your project with you and your team during discussions. - Company Background
Provide us with a concise paragraph outlining your company's history. Four to five sentences should do the trick. - Project Description
Provide us with a summary of your project, including the problem/opportunity, goals/objectives and any information that will help us understand your needs. This section is not intended for an outline of any specific requirements; rather this section is used to help us comprehend your project as a whole so that we can make recommendations and suggestions that may benefit your project. - Design Requirements
Provide us with an outline of any requirements that pertain to the design and layout of your project. This could vary depending on the type of project and your specific needs. For example, a website design project may include information regarding the branding and style guide of your company. A paragraph or two should do the trick along with some examples if possible (e.g. some websites that you would like your site to resemble). - Technical and Infrastructure Requirements
Provide us with any technical or infrastructure-related requirements. For example, if you have specific server or database configurations. This may or may not apply to your project and the length of this section varies from project to project. - Functional Requirements
Provide us with a detailed outline of all of the functionality you would like in your project and include short descriptions for each if possible. For example, an website design project may include a photo gallery/portfolio, social networking toolbars, quote request forms, Facebook Wall integration etc. The length of this section can vary widely although it is best to be as thorough as possible to ensure your project is completed the way you expect, within your budget and time frame. - Estimated Project Duration
Provide us with a date that you would like the project completed. It is best to be as realistic as possible as rushing projects means rushing testing and pushing products to launch prior to having a proper quality assurance check. We make every effort to complete projects efficiently. - Assumptions and Agreements
Provide us with a list of any assumptions or agreements that Creative Designs must meet for your project. For example, you may want to indicate that your budget for your project cannot exceed a certain dollar amount, or that you want a specific number of modification requests (billable hours of modifications) included, or that you want training and support on using your content management system post-sale. The length of this section varies from project to project. - Submission Information
Please provide us with the contact person and e-mail (or snail mail) address to send the estimate to for the project. - Additional Information or Clarification
Provide us with a list of contacts who will be available to clarify any questions regarding your project. It is not uncommon to have separate contacts for specific areas within organizations (e.g. technical questions, graphical guidelines etc.) and it helps to have these contact details in advance to streamline communication for your project. - Basis for Award of Contract
Provide us with a short paragraph or list that outlines your evaluation criteria. A few sentences or paragraphs should do the trick.
